Use Olive inside your AI

Already talk to Claude or ChatGPT? Add Olive as a tool and price a grocery list at a real Kroger store without leaving the chat. Ask “price milk, eggs, and coffee at 80202” and Olive answers with live prices and the real sale savings.

Olive builds carts. You always check out yourself. Olive never places orders and never touches your money. Pricing is read-only and needs no account. It runs on your AI’s plan, so it’s free to use.

Claude

In Claude, add a custom connector and paste this URL:

What Olive can do here

  • Price a grocery list (up to 8 items) at the nearest Kroger-family store by ZIP. No account needed.
  • Show real sale savings — markdowns only, never invented numbers.
  • Add items to your own Kroger cart, once you connect Kroger (below).
  • Take your feedback: tell it “that price looks wrong” and it passes it along.

Build your cart (connect Kroger)

Pricing is free and anonymous. To have Olive add items to your Kroger cart, connect your account once:

Think of the key as a spare house key for your grocery list: it lets Olive put things in your cart, and nothing else. Three steps, about a minute.

  1. Sign in and connect Kroger — shopolive.xyz/login. This is the one time you tell Kroger it’s okay.
  2. Copy your key from the key page. It’s a long line of characters starting with olv_.
  3. Paste it where Claude asks for a header. In the same place you added the link above, add a header named exactly x-olive-key and paste your key as its value.A “header” is just a labelled box Claude sends along with each request. The label is the name, your key is what goes in it.

Changed your mind? Get a new key on the key page and the old one stops working immediately. Remove the connector in Claude and Olive is gone from that chat entirely.

Your key maps to your account and your store. Olive can only ever touch your own cart, and it never checks out — you review and place the order on Kroger.

Your privacy

Olive logs anonymized tool usage to improve — what worked, what it couldn’t find. Never your identity, and never a shopping list tied to you.
